This Skyrim fan film from Machinima partner Warialasky is surprisingly not that bad. It accurately portrays a number of themes from the video game including Shouts, the Dark Brotherhood, Greybeards and more. Check it out and then scroll below for a few words from the creators.
One of Warialasky’s founding partners, Landon Sperry, spoke with the L.A. Time’s HeroComplex to promote the fan film and discuss what the creators home to explore in future projects. Speaking on the films vfx, Sperry stated, “ On our YouTube channel, you can see that our area of expertise is visual effects. Everything that we put out on the Internet, we always try to have them. And each time, we try to learn something new and expand our tool kit. So with this one, we had a few ideas for characters and different ways to tackle that. One of the things that we used was something called Fume FX [which was used to make the death eaters apparate in "Harry Potter"] that allowed for realistic smoke simulations. We had the idea that these vampires, when they travel around, they have this plume of darkness around them to protect themselves from the sun. That was one of things that we used.” Sperry goes on to add that the group is really hoping their next project will be a Legend of Zelda fan film.
Dovahkiin, the noble dragonborn hero, is cursed in a fight with a vampire. He spends a considerable time wandering the realm before being captured by the Dark Brotherhood, who offer him a deal. Dovahkiin agrees to help the Brotherhood save a captured member from the Necromancers, in exchange for a cure to his vampirism.
